Speedway fans far and wide descended on the St.Thomas’ Social Club, Exeter to meet up and honour one of the greatest speedway riders of all time, the legendary Kiwi Ivan Mauger.
The fans had a chance to view the magnificent personal collection of Rob Doran which included lots of Ivan’s memorabilia in the afternoon before settling down to hear some of the invited guests talk about the great man himself!
Personalities such as Bert Harkins, Jim Hone, Ronnie and Norrie Allen and Peter Oakes amongst others spoke of their experiences around the six times Individual speedway World Champion.
A must for collectors of speedway nostalgia.

Speedway fans met up at The Cleveland Arms, Willenhall to honour one of the best servants of British speedway for the last twenty years as the Roo Boy came to town for one final public appearance before jetting off to warmer climes!
Nigel Pearson was there to compare the evening and so were we as we bade farewell to one of Australia’s finest!
